What’s happening with Sugar Fit?

Yep, it’s been a bit since we released Sugar Fit and we’ve been pleased with the good that it’s doing in the world for us. It has been featured in our favorite music blog (Stratton’s Setlist), been included on playlists (like Best Best Variety Hour and Indie: Undiscovered but Brilliant and Darkest Corners of the World podcast and Toes in the Sand Playlist ), and introduced us to a whole new group of fans who are digging our funk (including in our Facebook group), which is amazing! What’s more is that besides doing all that, we have also been able to celebrate music videos and create ringtones from it. All of this has made us ecstatic!

What’s more is that, it is PROBABLY partly due to folks going over to check out the album—along with the music videos—that has helped explode our YouTube reach. In fact, we JUST hit 11k subscribers, which feels amazing! 😊🙌🏾

About the trips

Another big milestone in this past year has been our travel adventures. We visited Nashville for the first time ever in June 2021 and we’re FINALLY able to return to South By Southwest (blog and vlog). We know the pandemic isn’t quite over, but it has been nice to get out and about, and to share “Sugar Fit” every chance we got.

Working on new music

Another milestone has been perhaps a consequence of spending more time at home, but we’ve already pretty much written and recorded a new album, as well as have reworked several decades’-old songs, so that they receive the treatment we now know how to give (like the most recent re-working of “Sweet Thang”).

All and all, it’s been a thrilling couple of years, but we are looking forward to even MORE excitement in this year in front of us.
